For the Institute of Environmental Geology and Geoengineering of the CNR, we realised the editorial project for the BookMS series - which publishes the scientific studies of the Institute's researchers - dealing directly with the first two volumes published.
As part of this assignment, we developed a tool - realised in drawbot and written in python - for generating the covers.
The software deforms on the basis of mathematical functions a pattern consisting of lines (ordered according to a Cartesian grid, or a polar system).
This tool was designed to represent, by means of modular patterns, the object of the Institute's studies: the matter of which the planet is composed, layer by layer.
At the end of our assignment, we held a training session to make the client autonomous in the use of the application and the publishing project.
